Day 5:
The Final Day
It was 6 o’clock!!!
I woke up, everybody in my room was packing up, and there was no noise as they all were dead, a pin drop silence was there, I tried to spoke to everyone, but they were under some pressure, I thought to start up with myself. I got refreshed and then we had breakfast.
Today it was our last day of staying at SSB station, so we all wanted to make it memorable, but as our cameras and mobile were already taken away, so were empty handed, any way we manage to get one, we took some snaps in the room with many zigzag positions,
hey miss you yaar...
and then left room, I was feeling very heavy when I picked up my luggage and started to move out, I wished somebody stop me there and let me stay for my whole life in that room,
But I was helpless as we all were; we have to move on, as our destiny was to be decided, we came out, left our luggage aside by!!!
There was a last activity which was to be carried out, called as “The Conference”. It was more like to see the individual, and check his presence of mind. We were taken together to the “Alaknanda Hall”, made to sit there, an hour would have gone and my turn came, I appeared for the conference, as I entered there,
I was amazed to see that scene. President of the selection board was sitting right in front of me, must be at a distance of hardly 30 meters, I can’t forget the image which was captured by my mind, everybody was in their usual dress up, with stars and titles on their chest and shoulders, for a moment I was hypnotized, I managed to came out of it, I wished the president. And they asked me to sit.
Just a few questions were asked, I answered and that’s it. I was relieved. I came out with a cold breath. But the feeling that I had inside, can’t be explained I don’t have words to describe what I felt at the moment when I was with those officers for 3 minutes!!
Those 3 minutes of my life, taught a lifetime lesson to me. I wasn’t sure whether or not I could make it, but one thing I was sure about I didn’t wasted a single moment throughout my stay at SSB.
Not sure what would be the result, but even if I could not do It, I will try again to hit this again, and will perform again here to see what changes I have gone through!!
